Episode 3 - Contemporary Architect

Wing Wong (Karen) is a contemporary architect from Hong Kong. She pursues her dream in the United States with architecture. Architecture is a perfect match for her dream, and Karen completed her Architecture design at the University of Southern California (USC).

This week, we had a wonderful conversation with Karen and hoped to learn more about the challenges of her architectural education. Karen completes her architect licensee exam in California. If you have any suggestions for Karen, please leave a message below.

Challenge 1 - Living Environments

The living environment in Hong Kong is very different, so I must add that not only the living environment, but also cultural differences, as someone mentioned in the cultural shock.

Challenge 2 - Cultural Differences

Cultural differences This is one of the second gatherings I have encountered because people come from different backgrounds, and we have completely different cultural backgrounds.

Challenge 3 - Share ideas with different people

In order to work together, not only in education, not only at school but also in real-life work experience, we need to connect to share ideas so in differentn cultural differences as well.

Karen likes architecture research, and she spent a lot of time in the studio to exchange design ideas with professors and classmates. She likes everything about the Department of Architecture at the University of Southern California, and the best college tradition was to study abroad in Europe. She traveled to different countries with her professors throughout the semester.
